Ray LaMontagne gave fans a scare Saturday night in Nashville - but he's already back on his feet.
The 53-year-old Grammy winner was performing at the historic Ryman Auditorium as part of his "Trouble" 20th Anniversary Tour when he collapsed onstage while singing his cover of Dolly Parton's "Jolene." Fan-captured footage shows LaMontagne crouching before falling to the floor, prompting crew members to rush to his side. He was helped offstage, and the show was ended early.
Earlier in the set, LaMontagne had stopped twice during "Hannah" after losing his place, apologizing to the crowd before continuing.
His team addressed the incident directly on his Instagram Story: "Ray is in good hands with the local EMS and is being treated for heat related dehydration, he is doing well now and is grateful for everyone's understanding." Temperatures in Nashville that evening reportedly hovered around 95 degrees.
The reassurance held up. LaMontagne returned to the stage the very next night at Louisville's Palace Theatre, performing his full set as scheduled, according to fan setlists from the show.
