SEU Worship's "Found in the Field" Isn't Just an Album: It's a Record of a 10-Day Campus Revival

When SEU Worship released Found in the Field last week, most coverage focused on the tracklist and guest features. But one song on the album carries a story worth sitting with longer: "Wild Rushing Wind."

The track was captured live during what became a defining season for Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida - a 10-day spiritual outpouring that began during the school's winter conference and kept going. Students didn't leave. Extended times of worship, prayer, and response to God's presence stretched on night after night, eventually drawing national attention to the campus.

"Found in the Field captures the incomparable treasure of knowing Jesus, a discovery so abundant and joyful it makes trading everything else for Him the easy choice," says Chelsea Plank of SEU Worship. "It speaks to staying rooted in His presence, where recognizing our deep need for God doesn't leave us empty, but only deepens our hunger for more of Him."

That framing matters for understanding the full 13-track project, recorded live at Bush Chapel with guest turns from Abbie Gamboa ("NEED YOU," "Keep Me Right Here") and Aodhan King ("rlly love u"). It's less a studio release than a document of a specific moment students lived through together.

The album arrives as SEU Worship's profile keeps climbing. Their song "What A God" has surpassed 150 million lifetime streams, landed at No. 21 on the CCLI chart, and earned a Worship Song of the Year nomination at the 2025 GMA Dove Awards - with the group itself now up for New Artist of the Year in 2026.
