Was Perez Hilton Under Demonic Attack? Riley Gaines Raises Explosive Question After Disturbing Livestream

Perez Hilton's horrifying livestream crisis has taken an unexpected spiritual turn, with Riley Gaines asking whether something demonic could have been happening to the celebrity blogger.

During a new episode of The Riley Gaines Show, Gaines sat down with journalist and author Billy Hallowell to examine the unsettling incident-and the question some Christians were apparently afraid to ask publicly. Was Hilton experiencing only a mental-health emergency, or could spiritual darkness also have been involved?

Hilton, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., was hospitalized on August 4 after viewers reportedly saw him harming himself during a disturbing TikTok livestream. Concerned users contacted authorities, and the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said deputies and mental-health professionals responded before he was transported safely to a hospital. 

TikTok subsequently acknowledged that a "moderator error" allowed the graphic broadcast to remain online longer than it should have. The platform said its systems detected the stream, but human moderation reportedly delayed its removal and the suspension of Hilton's account. 

Against that deeply troubling background, Gaines asked Hallowell whether viewers might have witnessed a form of spiritual warfare. However, the conversation stopped short of diagnosing Hilton as demonically possessed.

Hallowell distinguished between demonic possession and oppression and warned Christians against confidently attaching a supernatural diagnosis to a person they do not know. Mental illness, physical suffering and spiritual distress can sometimes appear intertwined, he argued, making humility and discernment essential.

The discussion expanded beyond Hilton to angels, demons, UFOs and the biblical command to "test the spirits." Yet its most important message was considerably less sensational than its explosive title: Christians should respond to a suffering person with prayer and compassion-not mockery, online speculation or outrage.

Hilton's crisis followed an earlier 21-day hospitalization caused by serious medical complications. He previously revealed that taking prescribed flu medication without food contributed to an ulcer, stomach perforation and life-threatening sepsis, leaving him severely weakened. 

That medical history makes careless supernatural claims especially dangerous. Gaines and Hallowell may have opened the door to discussing spiritual warfare, but they did not produce evidence that Hilton was possessed-and viewers should not treat a provocative question as a confirmed explanation.
