NASHVILLE, TN - Christian singer-songwriter Linda Boles has released her new song "A Child of God" to Christian radio. Written by Boles and produced by John Johnson of Tune Designer, the Inspirational and Christian Soft AC release centers on salvation, spiritual identity, and the joy of being welcomed into the family of God.
Boles describes "A Child of God" as a joyful reflection on the transformation that takes place when someone puts their faith in the Lord. The song celebrates both the heavenly joy surrounding a person who turns to God and the sense of belonging found within a community of believers.
At the heart of the song is the declaration "A child of God," serving as an affirmation of identity and a reminder that those who place their faith in Christ do not have to walk alone. Its message of redemption, grace, and fellowship reflects Boles' desire to use music to encourage listeners in their faith.
Boles' musical journey has been shaped by more than four decades of music and ministry. Raised in a family with deep bluegrass traditions, she developed a musical foundation influenced by bluegrass, folk, rock, and hymns. Personal loss also became an important part of her songwriting journey, drawing her toward songs focused on God's faithfulness, comfort, and hope.
The new release follows a recent honor for Boles at the 2026 International Singer Songwriter Association (ISSA) Awards, where she received the Bronze Songwriter of the Year Award in the USA Female category. The awards were held August 22 at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center near Atlanta, Georgia, where Boles also performed at the official afterparty.
Now based in Smithfield, Virginia, Boles continues to create music with a ministry-minded purpose. "A Child of God" carries that purpose forward with an uplifting message about salvation, community, and the joy of belonging to God's family.
