The Voice Season 30 is in the middle of its Blind Auditions, and the early episodes have already produced several four-chair turns and coach rivalries. Here is what to know so far.
Who are the coaches?
Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson are back, joined by first-time coaches Riley Green and Queen Latifah. This season adds a "First-In" button that lets the first coach to turn secure an artist on their team.
Which auditions stood out?
- Chari, 31, Atlanta: all four coaches turned for her take on Oleta Adams' "Get Here," and Levine stood through the whole song. She chose Latifah.
- Lexi Stephens, 23, New York: she won a four-chair turn with "Die on This Hill" and joined Team Adam. Levine called it by far the best blind audition so far.
- Amanda Mikkel: Levine used his First-In button to claim her after she sang "Moon River."
- Cade Mower, Utah: he pulled all four chairs with Zach Bryan's "Something in the Orange," and Levine gave him a standing ovation.
- Bryan Jaymes, Louisiana: he chose Latifah over Levine, who dropped his face onto his desk in shame.
Who is winning the blinds?
Clarkson said the coaches "lost a lot of people" to Latifah. Latifah agreed, saying, "I'm dominating the blinds."
What's next?
NBC lists six Blind Audition episodes running through October 6, with Battle rounds starting October 12. Episodes air Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and stream the next day on Peacock. Each coach ends the blinds with 12 artists, so 48 singers advance.
Last season's winner, Alexia Jayy, came from Team Adam, giving Levine his fourth win as a coach.
