Fandango and Deadline both list 1 hour 54 minutes (114 minutes). Some outlets list 117 minutes, and Metacritic shows 1 hour 57 minutes. With trailers, plan on a little over two hours in your seat.
Where can you watch it?
Verity is not on Prime Video yet, and Amazon has not announced a streaming date. Prime Video is expected to become its eventual streaming home, and recent Amazon MGM releases suggest a window of roughly two to four months. That would be around December or January, but it is not confirmed.
Is the movie like the book?
Reviewers say it is close. Collider calls it a faithful adaptation of Hoover's thriller that follows the novel's beats closely, though it plays things too safe. If you want the twists to hit fresh, see the film first. If you've read the novel, expect familiar turns.
The weekend so far
The film grossed $14.5 million on Friday, including $4.5 million in previews, and was heading toward a $32 million opening.
A note for Christian viewers
The MPA rated the film R for sexual content, some nudity, language, violence and bloody images. Movieguide gave it two stars and advised even mature Christian adults to pass. Check a detailed content guide before buying a ticket.
