Mabel Lowe, the 17-year-old eldest daughter of actor Chad Lowe and casting director Kim Painter, has publicly honored her younger sister Fiona, promising to "keep your memory alive."

Mabel shared the tribute on Instagram on Saturday, Oct. 3, with childhood photos of the sisters and a final picture of Fiona dancing. "I love you so much fiona," she wrote, adding, "I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive." She also wrote that she hopes Fiona's "mind is at ease now."

Fiona died Sept. 29 at age 13. In their statement, Chad Lowe and Kim Painter described her as "smart, creative," and a girl who "loved to dance." They said she was adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents. The Los Angeles County medical examiner has since ruled the manner of death a suicide, as reported by outlets including Yahoo and Fox News. Her grandfather, Charles "Chuck" Lowe, shared a photo of her swimming with the words "Rest in peace, sweet Fiona." Her dance teacher, Kendra Andrews, also posted a throwback rehearsal video. Fiona is survived by her parents and her sisters, Mabel and Nixie, 10.
