No, Nancy Guthrie has not been found. The 84-year-old mother of "Today" co-anchor Savannah Guthrie remains missing more than eight months after she was abducted from her Tucson home, and no suspect has been named.
The latest news centers on Luke Daley. A Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesperson confirmed he was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on September 30 and said the arrest "is unrelated to the Nancy Guthrie case."
Daley, 37, is the Tucson man who was briefly detained in February. Police pulled him over on February 13 and searched his mother's home, about two miles from Guthrie's neighborhood. He was released without charges hours later. Fox News reports he already had separate legal matters pending, including drug and firearm charges.
Daley has consistently denied any connection. His attorney said he has no link to Guthrie and no information about her kidnapping. In a March interview, Daley rejected online claims that he resembles the masked figure seen outside Guthrie's home.
Where the case stands
Sheriff Chris Nanos said in July that investigators have gathered a lot of evidence but cannot share it without risking the case, and that "someone knows something." Savannah Guthrie has offered a $1 million reward for information leading to her mother's safe return.
Nancy was last seen on January 31. The family continues to ask for prayers, and JubileeCast joins them in praying for her safe return.
