Prince Harry is opening up about how hard the first days away from royal pressure were for him.
In his new MasterClass, Redefining Grief: Building Resilience Through Loss, released Thursday, October 8, the Duke of Sussex said "I actually slipped into depression for about two weeks" after moving to Canada with wife Meghan Markle and son Archie in late 2019.
Harry described an "adrenaline crash" that came within two or three days of arriving, something he said he had never felt before. He said he felt unable to function without the stress and adrenaline he had grown used to.
He explained that the family went to Canada to get space and time to think.
The course features grief neuroscientist Dr. Mary-Frances O'Connor and was filmed earlier this year in California. Harry also speaks about losing his mother, Princess Diana, when he was 12 years old.
Anyone who is struggling is encouraged to talk with a pastor, a trusted friend, or a licensed counselor.
