Alan Ritchson's new action movie, Runner, is heading home. After a month in theaters, the Owen Wilson co-starring film arrives on digital platforms on Tuesday, October 13.

Runner opened September 11 in more than 2,500 theaters. By early October it was down to about 340 locations, a drop of roughly 2,200 screens, according to Collider. The film has earned about $15 million in the U.S. so far, per Box Office Mojo figures cited by Mandatory.

Reports say it will be available to buy or rent on October 13 on platforms such as Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango. I found no subscription streaming date announced by Angel Studios.

Ritchson plays Hank Malone, a former soldier working as a courier. Wilson plays Ben Bishop, the man carrying a donor organ meant to save a little girl's life. A cartel is hunting them both. It's rated PG-13, runs about 98 minutes, and mixes comedy with heavy action violence, so parents should preview it.

Rotten Tomatoes lists a 77% critics score and a 90% audience score. IMDb's popularity chart has Runner in its top 15 ahead of the digital release, according to CBR.

Runner comes from Angel Studios, known for faith-based films and trying to reach a wider audience here. Director Scott Waugh described the film as "big action, real heart, and a story that brings light into this world."
