Journey drummer Deen Castronovo has broken his silence after the medical emergency that stopped the band's Tulsa concert, and says he is rejoining the tour. Castronovo, 62, posted on social media Saturday, October 10, confirming he would play with Journey that night at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Castronovo thanked fans for their "love, concern, well wishes, messages and texts." He apologized to Tulsa for not finishing the show and thanked Jonathan Cain and the BOK Center crowd for lifting him up in prayer. He said hearing about it "touched my heart deeply."

Guitarist Neal Schon also posted that Castronovo was doing great and couldn't wait to see San Antonio. Schon reportedly thanked fans for their prayers as well.

As we reported, Castronovo was helped off stage at the BOK Center on Thursday, October 8, after the second song. Keyboardist Jonathan Cain asked the crowd to "have your prayers ready." Drum tech Steve Toomey played the rest of the show, and Schon dedicated the night to Castronovo.

Neither Castronovo nor the band has said what caused the emergency, and no medical details have been released. The band had called it a case of not feeling well and being taken to a hospital for a check-up.

Journey's Final Frontier Tour continues with more U.S. dates, including Sunrise, Florida, on October 16.
