A new trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero is lighting up the internet. It puts the spotlight on King Ghidorah's lightning-like gravity beams alongside Godzilla's iconic atomic breath. cooledtured
The sequel to the Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One comes from director Takashi Yamazaki. The new trailer debuted during New York Comic Con. Earlier footage kept the second monster mostly hidden. In the September trailer, a non-Godzilla roar and gold lightning dropped Godzilla from the sky.
The film opens in North America on November 6 through GKIDS. Japan gets it November 3 after its New York Film Festival premiere on September 26. Early IMAX screenings are planned for Godzilla Day, November 3.
The film is rated R. It is the first Godzilla movie in 72 years to carry that rating. Plot summaries describe bloody battles as the monsters clash. Parents planning a family outing may want to check the rating details first.
Godzilla Minus One grossed $116 million worldwide, the most successful Japanese Godzilla film to date. That success is why this sequel, billed as the first Japanese production filmed for IMAX, is one of the most watched releases of the season.
For families who love big-screen spectacle, the R rating is worth a look before buying tickets.
