Gypsy Rose Blanchard is pushing back against rumors about her relationship with late ex-fiancé Ken Urker, releasing private messages that she says show the pair were cooperating over custody of their daughter, Aurora. The disclosure comes as public scrutiny of their final weeks together continues following Urker's death on October 1, his 34th birthday.
According to Page Six's October 10 report, the messages dated September 2 discuss how the former couple would share parenting responsibilities. Blanchard presented the exchange to challenge claims that they were embroiled in a custody battle, with the texts reportedly showing an intention to reach an arrangement without a contested legal proceeding. The messages offer a glimpse of their discussions, although they do not establish every aspect of the former couple's relationship.
The disclosure follows a separate report about Urker's sister Autumn, who said her brother "had to sleep with a gun every night" because of alleged death threats and online harassment. Crucially, Autumn clarified that he was not keeping the weapon because he feared Blanchard would hurt him. Her explanation remains a family member's account of what he was experiencing.
Blanchard has also described an unexpectedly ordinary final encounter that now carries painful significance. In another October 10 report, she recalled surprising Urker with a Burger King meal while pretending to be a DoorDash driver. What began as a playful visit became their last meeting, according to her account-a memory she shared as attention remained focused on the circumstances surrounding his death.
An official cause of death has not been confirmed in the latest reporting reviewed. Although Blanchard has suggested a possible overdose, that explanation should not be treated as an established medical finding. Her newly shared messages address the custody rumors; they do not resolve the unanswered questions about Urker's death.
