Weems' label debut has already gained significant attention. His single "I Will Follow" generated more than 600,000 streams worldwide in its first week, while related social media content garnered more than six million views. The song also received over 5,000 pre-saves ahead of its release, becoming the second-most pre-saved debut single in Provident Entertainment history, behind Brandon Lake.
"I Will Follow is a collection of songs to inspire your walk with the only One who matters: our King," Weems shared. "On the mountain or in the valley, if you seek Him, you will surely find Him."
One of the project's new offerings, "God Is Everywhere," emphasizes God's constant presence through every season of life. The song reflects Weems' desire to encourage listeners to trust in God's nearness during moments of joy, uncertainty, and hardship. Watch the "God Is Everywhere" music video.
Originally from Vero Beach, Florida, Weems was raised in a multigenerational ministry family. His great-grandparents helped establish the family's church, where his father now serves as pastor. This background has shaped his commitment to serving the local church through worship and songwriting.
Describing his approach to songwriting as "prayers in the form of melodies," Weems seeks to create music that encourages believers to grow closer to Jesus and strengthens the Church through authentic worship.
With the release of I Will Follow, Weems continues to develop his voice as a worship artist, offering songs that remind listeners of God's faithfulness and invite them to follow Him in every season.
