Christmas has arrived early for Whitney Houston fans-and this surprise comes with four ways to celebrate one unforgettable voice. Released October 16, 2026, One Wish (For Christmas) - The Voice of Whitney Symphonic revisits her holiday favorite with a symphonic version, the original recording, an instrumental, and an a cappella mix. Apple Music lists the release under Arista Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment.
The headline attraction is the symphonic treatment, giving listeners a fresh reason to return to a song that first appeared in 2003. For longtime fans preparing their Christmas playlists, the unexpected arrival offers a welcome opportunity to rediscover Houston's holiday music-and hear a familiar favorite from several different perspectives.
Fan account @thewhitneyhoustonplatinumclub highlighted the release on Instagram, describing it as a surprise that had arrived without an official announcement they had seen. That sense of discovery adds to the excitement: a casual check of the streaming platforms suddenly becomes an early Christmas present.
The four-track collection includes:
-
"One Wish (For Christmas) [The Voice of Whitney Symphonic]"
-
"One Wish (For Christmas)"
-
"One Wish (For Christmas) [Instrumental]"
-
"One Wish (For Christmas) [The Voice - A Cappella Mix]"
Beyond the symphonic centerpiece, the a cappella mix offers a particularly enticing prospect for admirers of Houston's singing. The chance to focus on her vocal performance gives this compact release an appeal that extends beyond seasonal background listening, while the instrumental provides another way to experience the song.
The release also sits alongside renewed interest in Houston's orchestral legacy. Her official website describes The Voice of Whitney: A Symphonic Celebration as a concert experience pairing her recorded vocals with new arrangements, bringing her performances into an orchestral setting.
For fans, the invitation is irresistible: start the festive season early, revisit "One Wish," and make room for Whitney on the Christmas playlist once again.
