Billy Evans is Elizabeth Holmes' longtime partner, and she is not out of prison yet.
As A24's "You Can See Everything" opens in theaters today, Oct. 16, searches about Holmes' family and release date are climbing. Here is what is confirmed.
Who is Billy Evans?
Evans is a hotel heir. His family is behind Evans Hotels, the San Diego group his grandparents founded in 1953, according to A&E. He and Holmes met in 2017 at a Fleet Week charity event and share two young children. Major outlets describe him as her partner, and no credible report confirms a marriage. Evans is now CEO of Haemanthus, an Austin health-tech company, IBTimes reports. NPR reported in 2025 that a source said Holmes was advising the venture, but the company said she had no involvement.
Where is Holmes now?
She is serving her sentence at Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas, a minimum-security facility.
When could she get out?
ABC News reports that Holmes is approved for transfer to the Austin Transitional Center, a halfway house in Del Valle, Texas, on Aug. 23, 2027. That is a move within federal custody, not a release. Her current scheduled release date is Feb. 22, 2030. The Bureau of Prisons told ABC it does not discuss individual release plans.
What does she say in the film?
Reviewers report that Holmes tells filmmaker Nathan Fielder she has never lied, a claim that sits against her 2022 fraud conviction.
