Morris Chestnut says he was offered about $1,500 a week for a small role on "A Different World."

The "Reasonable Doubt" star shared the story on the "R&B Money" podcast with hosts Tank and J. Valentine. Yahoo reports the role was later cut from the show. Chestnut joked that if that was the pay for a small part, he wondered what lead character Dwayne Wayne was earning.

Chestnut is back as defense attorney Corey Cash in season 4 of Hulu's "Reasonable Doubt." The season premiered Oct. 6 with three episodes, and new episodes arrive Tuesdays through the Nov. 24 finale. His podcast host Tank also joins the show this season, along with Meagan Good.

A Netflix sequel to the classic sitcom "A Different World", premiered in late September and has been renewed for a second season. Original stars Kadeem Hardison, who plays Dwayne Wayne, and Darryl M. Bell launched a rewatch podcast on Oct. 15.

Chestnut is married to Pam Byse, and they have a son and a daughter, according to Empire.
