Savannah Guthrie says she is already planning a return trip to Ireland and wants to bring her children, a reported tribute to the Irish roots of her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie.

Guthrie shared the plan on Today on Monday, Oct. 19, as the show's hosts looked back on their special broadcasts from Ireland. "I'm already planning my trip," she said, adding that she wants to bring the kids, according to TV Insider. Co-host Jenna Bush Hager also joked about a "rocky" start to Guthrie's visit to the Cliffs of Moher.

The trip carries personal meaning. When Today announced its Ireland episodes in September, Guthrie said she had never been to Ireland and that her mother's family was Irish, with roots in Galway. The visit would connect her with her mother's heritage.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona home on Feb. 1. No suspects have been named, and the investigation remains active. The Guthrie family has offered a $1 million reward for information.

Through the ordeal, Guthrie has often leaned on her faith. She has spoken of her mother's deep love for the Lord, once saying Nancy may have "gone home to the Lord that she loves."

Authorities continue to ask anyone with information to come forward.
