Syndicated radio and television host Todd Friel is preparing to release Go Serve Your King: The Key to Extraordinary Purpose in Everyday Life, a new book encouraging Christians to honor God in every aspect of their daily lives.
Published by HarperCollins, the book addresses a common challenge among believers: integrating faith into ordinary routines, relationships, careers, finances, and personal decisions. Rather than suggesting that everyone must pursue a dramatic life change to serve God, Friel encourages readers to remain faithful in the circumstances they already face.
In Go Serve Your King, Friel emphasizes that the significance of an activity is not determined solely by what a person does, but by whom they do it for. Drawing on Scripture and insights from Christian thinkers such as Augustine, Jonathan Edwards, Charles Spurgeon, C.S. Lewis, and R.C. Sproul, he explores how believers can find eternal purpose in everyday responsibilities, overcome persistent sin, discern God's will, and grow in Christlikeness through ordinary obedience.
The book also examines how Christians can honor God through their relationships, work, finances, recreation, aging, and approach to death. Reflection questions at the end of each chapter are designed to help readers apply its biblical principles to their own lives.
Christian apologist Ray Comfort praised the book, describing it as a biblically grounded guide to living a life of eternal significance.
Friel serves as pastor of Alpharetta Bible Church near Atlanta, Georgia, and founded Fortis Institute. He also hosts Wretched, an award-winning television and radio program, and has written six books alongside producing Bible studies and other resources for the local church.
Go Serve Your King: The Key to Extraordinary Purpose in Everyday Life is scheduled for release on December 1, 2026, through HarperCollins.
Readers can pre-order the book on Amazon or learn more about Friel's work through the Fortis Institute website.
