"Broken Man" reflects on the emptiness that can follow the pursuit of temporary happiness and the choices that can pull people away from God. Through candid lyrics and a strong declaration of faith, Ryan looks back on his struggles while celebrating the freedom and restoration found in surrendering his life to Christ.
Rather than allowing past mistakes to define his future, the song emphasizes the possibility of transformation. Its message reminds listeners that painful experiences do not have to determine the rest of their lives and that even difficult chapters can become testimonies of God's faithfulness.
Produced and arranged by Coby James, "Broken Man" combines contemporary Christian pop/rock production with Ryan's personal, testimony-driven songwriting. The track was written by Nicholas McCray, Michael McCray, and Coby James Martin, with publishing through Nashville Christian Songwriters.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Ryan began pursuing professional recording sessions after a Nashville songwriting retreat in 2025 helped shape his musical direction. Drawing inspiration from personal challenges, family, and his faith, he is developing a sound that balances honest storytelling with a message of hope.
"Broken Man" follows Ryan's first two singles as he prepares for a new year of music in 2027. His debut release has already received radio airplay, helping introduce his music to a growing audience.
With this latest release, Ryan encourages listeners to look beyond their past failures and embrace the possibility of being restored through Jesus Christ. "Broken Man" is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other streaming platforms.
