Meghan Markle is returning to Australian television with an upcoming appearance on Junior MasterChef Australia, scheduled for 2027. The Duchess of Sussex will join Poh Ling Yeow on the Network 10 cooking competition, with filming expected to take place in Melbourne next year.

The announcement follows Meghan's guest appearance on MasterChef Australia earlier this year and continues her interest in food, hospitality and family cooking.

"When they approached me to come back and work with this young group of talent, it was an easy yes," Meghan said in a statement. She also pointed to cooking with her own children as part of the appeal of working with young contestants.

Yeow welcomed the opportunity to work with Meghan again, describing her previous time on set positively and highlighting her knowledge of food. She also suggested that Meghan's experience as a mother could help her connect with the children taking part.

The new appearance adds to Meghan's recent food and lifestyle projects, including her As Ever brand and Netflix series With Love, Meghan. On Junior MasterChef Australia, the focus will shift toward encouraging young contestants as they develop their cooking skills.

Reports have described Meghan's involvement variously as a special guest appearance and a co-hosting role. The precise scope of her participation remains unclear, and an exact premiere date has not been announced in the reporting reviewed.
