At New Wine Festival 2026, thousands of worshippers gathered around a cross at the centre of the Big Top. Now, New Wine Worship is sharing the sound-and the conviction-of that gathering through its new single, "For Jesus," releasing Friday 30 October 2026.
Written by Joe Hardy and Nick Herbert, the song centres on a declaration that gives the gathering its purpose: "All this is for You Jesus, You're the reason we are here."
Recorded live before more than 7,000 worshippers and featuring a vibrant festival choir, "For Jesus" combines a driving rhythm with a direct, congregational chorus. It is the second single from Ready For More, New Wine Worship's forthcoming live EP, due 20 November 2026.
For Hardy, the song's message reaches beyond the platform and into the ordinary rhythms of Christian life.
"The message couldn't be simpler," he says. "Everything we do is for Jesus. Whether we're gathering as a church, leading worship or living our everyday lives, He is the reason we're here. Our hope is that this song helps local churches begin that journey of worship by putting Him front and centre."
That emphasis shaped the festival itself. The Big Top's circular layout placed a cross at the centre, with worshippers gathered around it-a physical expression of the place Jesus holds in the community's worship and mission. "For Jesus" gives voice to that same commitment, inviting congregations to begin with a shared acknowledgement of whom they have come to worship.
Its straightforward refrain also reflects the collective's desire to write songs that churches can readily use. Already being embraced by congregations around the country, "For Jesus" offers worship leaders a clear call to praise and a chorus that brings the whole room into the song.
The release follows "Simple Worship," which arrived on 16 October featuring Sarah Bird. That song's invitation to return to the heart of worship introduces a theme carried forward by "For Jesus": bringing attention back to Jesus and responding with wholehearted devotion.
Both tracks feature on Ready For More, recorded live at this summer's festival. The EP captures the scale and energy of the gathering while serving a purpose beyond the event: giving local churches songs to carry into their own services and communities.
"For Jesus" distils that purpose into one memorable line. As the festival recording reaches new listeners, its invitation remains the same-join the song, fix your eyes on Jesus and remember why we gather.
"For Jesus" will be available on all streaming platforms on 30 October 2026. Ready For More releases on 20 November 2026.
