'Tarzan Movie' Release Date Revealed: Fans of Tarzan Awaits 'til 2016
Tarzan is an upcoming 3D adventure film based on the fictional character named Tarzan, who was raised in the African Jungles, which was originally created and written by Edgar Rice Burroughs. It is being co-produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures in collaboration with Jerry Weintraub Productions and Riche Productions.
It is being produced and directed by David Yates, who directed the renowned film Harry Potter, and is written by Stuart Beattie and Craig Brewer.
The movie stars Samuel L. Jackson, Margot Robbie as Jane Porter who is the wife of Tarzan, Alexander Skarsgård as Tarzan, Christoph Waltz as Captain Leon Rom, Djimon Hounsou as the Chief Mbonga, Lasco Atkins as the Mercenary and Richard Banks as Force Publique.
Filming of the 3D movie had begun on June 30th of this year 2014, around the UK and at Warner Bros. Studios.
The story of the film differs from the original story of Tarzan and begins in London, where the main heroic character portrayed by actor Alexander Skarsgård as Tarzan, is said to be living with his wife and became accustomed to this new way of living with human society (now named John Clayton), leaving the Ape man Jungle life behind for years past.
Later on in the movie, he was invited to travel back to Africa to serve as a trade emissary to investigate a mining encampment in Congo.
The new upcoming film is very interesting and may act unofficially, I would say, as a sequel to the original storyline of Tarzan.
It was announced that the release date of the film is expected on July 1, 2016.
