Cinderella 2015 news, cast, release date: Disney's live action version of the classic fairy tale will be out in theaters in March 2015, Lily James to play the lead role
Cinderella 2015 cast news: Actress Lily James, known as Lady Rose MacClare in "Downton Abbey", will play the titular role in Disney's live action movie "Cinderella." She will be Ella, a young orphan living with an evil stepmother and two stepsisters.
Cinderella 2015 will be a make-or-break opportunity for James, and this will gauge if we shall be seeing more of her in the future. The role was originally offered to Emma Watson of "Harry potter" fame, who had to decline due to her tight schedule. Other actresses considered for Cinderella 2015 were Alicia Vikander, Saoirse Ronan, and Gabriella Wilde.
Richard Madden, known as Rob Stark in "Game of Thrones," will play Kit, the dashing yet unassuming prince who saves the day.
The movie boasts of an all-star ensemble. Also joining the "Cinderella" 2015 cast are Cate Blanchett as the wicked stepmother Lady Tremaine and the Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother.
Directed by renowned actor Kenneth Branagh, Cinderella 2015 release date is set for March 13, 2015.
Branagh shared that "Cinderella" 2015 will be based on Charles Perrault's 1967 version. There is, however, an interesting plot twist: Cinderella 2015 will be told from the point of view of the prince, which is highly unusual, as fairy tales go.
Judging from the positive reviews of "Maleficent," Disney's "Cinderella" 2015 is a cinema event to look forward to. Watch the Cinderella 2015 trailer here:
