Prometheus 2 latest news: Script is finished and movie is now good to go!

Fans of the Aliens franchise will be glad to know that Prometheus 2, which is the sequel to the 2012 box office hit Prometheus, had been given the go signal, formidably from the Director himself, Ridley Scott.

The script according to Scott is finished already despite previous reports of delays! Now, the cast and crew are ready to get the ball rolling.

Prometheus 2 cast Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace have signed on to reprise their roles as Android David and Elizabeth Shaw, respectively.

The Prometheus 2 plot will dwell on the origins of the human race, man's desire to learn where he came from and the chance to get to know "The Engineers". The second film is tentatively titled Prometheus 2: Paradise, and will follow the character of Elizabeth Shaw after she leaves the alien world seen in the first movie.

Scott has got his plate full juggling three movies at once, where he explained, "That's the problem. I've got a lot of ducks in a row," the director told reporters. "But they're all written." Aside from Prometheus 2, he is also directing  The Martian and Blade Runner 2. Now, that's kinda heavy folks! But knowing Scott, he is a versatile and a hardworking director.

Because of these commitments, Prometheus 2 will hit theaters on 2016, not as originally planned for 2015. The movie was pushed back to make room for The Martian.
