Pitch Perfect 2: Get The Latest On The Cast, Story And Release Date! Expect A Lot More Singing In The Sequel Plus Taylor Swift to make a Cameo?
The release of Pitch Perfect 2 is set by March next year. It came as a surprise for the cast that the first movie was a massive success, considering a minimal budget. They were not expecting that audiences would love the movie despite a storyline that is centered on the world of acapella singers. But because of its huge achievement, producers had to greenlight a sequel and ever since the announcement, fans have read a lot of leaks and reviews that makes them more excited about the upcoming musical movie phenomenon.
Producer and director Elizabeth Banks is not saying much about the movie - just yet, but she has hinted that the movie plot will be adapted from Mickey Rapkin's non-fiction book, titled Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate A Cappella Glory. Ben Platt, in a recent interview, also revealed that the sequel will explore on what it's like growing older.
All our favorite stars from the first movie will be returning with the likes of Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson and Ben Platt. The movie is going to be better with the addition of some new faces. One new cast member for Pitch Perfect 2 is Anna Kendrick's BFF, Hailee Steinfeld.
Taylor Swift was rumored to join the gang, but Banks confirmed it was not all true.
