The Voice Season 7 News: Gwen Stefani and Taylor Swift as New Coach and Mentor of Season 7!
America's popular reality talent show, The Voice, is coming back for a seventh-season this coming September 22 on NBC, and the show is introducing new judges: Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams, while the coaches have already selected their team mentors.
While the upcoming season will introduce the two new coaches, Cee Lo Green has left the show, and Christina Aguilera is taking a break for her second baby. Now, the season 7 is set with judges Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton.
As for the new coach Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton commented in a preview clip of the show that "Gwen brings this very honest, very humble power to the table".
As for the mentors, Taylor Swift is mentoring across all four coaching teams, and the coaches have already selected their individual mentors: Adam Levine chose Stevie Nicks, Blake Shelton picked Little Big Town, Pharrell has Alicia Keys, and Gwen Stefani is working with her husband Gavin Rossdale.
The Voice starts off with a BLIND audition, as the judges try to find each of their team members based on the voices of the contestants alone (without seeing their faces), and the competition follows.
Meanwhile, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton shared a bit of info on their married lives. The Maroon 5 singer recently married Behati Prinsloo, a South African supermodel, and he says he loves calling her his wife, "I abuse that word right now, a lot. I'll say it for no reason...Wife, wife, wife. I love that term". Blake Shelton, on the other hand, says he isn't ready to have children yet. When asked about having kids soon with his wife Miranda Lambert, he said, "Um, I mean. No."
The Voice season 7 premieres next Monday, September 22 at 8PM on NBC.
