The Boy Next Door is an upcoming American psychological thriller film being produced by Jason Blum's Blumhouse Productions along with Smart Entertainment, and is expected to be distributed by Universal Pictures by early 2015.
Blumhouse Productions is known for producing the films "Paranormal Activity,", "3 Sins," and "The Purge."
It is going to be directed by Rob Cohen and written by Barbara Curry.
The film stars the popular musician Jennifer Lopez who is portraying an educated woman named Claire Peterson who recently got divorced with her husband.
Claire's husband is going to be played by actor John Corbett.
In the upcoming movie, she later meets a young man named Noah Sandborn. Noah Sandborn is being portrayed by actor and model Ryan Guzman.
The story of the film focuses on the main character mentioned above as Claire, who after having divorced her husband, meets a good looking man who just moved in across the street from where she lives.
The young man named Noah whom she met turns out to be more than what she expected, who later becomes obsessed with Claire.
Other characters in the film include Ian Nelson as Kevin Peterson, Kristin Chenoweth, Hill Harper, Adam Hicks, Bailey Chase and Travis Schuldt.
The upcoming film is not to be confused with the 2008 television movie titled with the same title.
