Intel's Skylake: To be launched in 2015?

At the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco, the company announced that they are trying to fully focus on the upcoming concept from Intel titled as Skylake. It is the successor to Broadwell. The names came from the design and dimension. Broadwell indicates the word tick, which signifies the 14nm process while Skylake means tock which indicates the substantial developments on the design management.

Intel is looking forward to introduce a wire-free tomorrow by their new project Skylake. The motive of this project includes wire free display, which can be synched with nearby monitor. The company previously announced that wire free display would be available when Core M can be designed. Seems the day is not very far away.  In 2015 Intel will probably unleash the next generation project.

The idea behind the wire free project is to remove the PC platform by introducing wireless controlled operations. The company has made billions of investments to upgrade the wireless connectivity along with new processor. The wire free charging will be available with the Skylake project. The idea is to make a surface area which will allow the tablets or notebooks to get fully charged once they are kept within the area.

At Intel developer forum a small preview of Skylake was shown but the specific performance of the new invention and the power consumption of the Skylake operated notebooks were not clearly discussed. The company demonstrated a Skylake powered notebook which was used to run 4K video and 3DMark benchmark. This project might add fan less design of notebook designs with high performance and extended battery life.

Intel is also looking forward to refine the 14nm design with more powerful integrity. The company needs to redesign the processor for the new technology to provide faster and powerful configuration. Intel might reduce the 14nm process to 10nm process with Skylake, which will take the technology to a new era of innovation. If everything goes fine the world might experience the new generation technology at the end of 2015 as the company is trying to pack the production of Skylake in the second half of 2015.
