Driveclub Release Date, Reveals, News, Reveals, Rumors and Updates: Driveclub to have Superior Handling Model

On Tuesday Sony published a list third party racing wheels which are compatible with the upcoming Playstation 4 racing game, Driveclub. The game is set to release on October 7th this year solely on Playstation 4. At this time, the game has not been confirmed for other modes like X Box One and Playstation 3 and Sony does not look to provide information on this soon. The Evolution Studios community development manager, Jamie Brayshaw stated in a post on the Playstation 4 blog that the developer is hoping to add support for the additional wheels from the other companies in the future.

Some of the supported Driveclub wheels include Thrustmaster T80, Thrustmaster T300RS and Thrustmaster T500. Similarly in the post, Brayshaw claimed Evolution worked very closely with 'Thrustmaster', on the racing wheels for the Driveclub game in order to make sure that they were perfectly tuned for the game. "In fact, we've actually spent time with pro drivers recently and we got to see what they could do behind the wheel of a Thrustmater T300RS in Driveclub! It was epic to see Sebastian Loeb acing almost every corner of an epic downhill point-to-point route set in Canada - and set one of the fastest lap times we've ever seen - on his first go," She added. In other news, Paul Rustchynsky from Evolution Studios, in an interview with VenturBeat talked about the superior handling model and some of the customizations the players make for their vehicles.

When asked why the players should buy the game over some of the other games that were coming out, including Project CARS, Paul noted the superior handling feature as the main selling point. He also mentioned some of the customization techniques that players will be able to apply for their vehicles and they include changing the paint and some of the designs. There are not going to be any tuning options for the playing vehicles but Paul noted that Evolution Studious wants to give everyone an even playing field.
