The books follow the adventures of sixteen-year-old Thomas, who finds himself in a place called The Glade, with no memory of who he is and where he's from. Thomas, along with other boys, attempts to find their way out of an ever-changing maze.
There are four books in The Maze Runner series: The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials, and The Death Cure. The 4th book, Prequel: The Kill Order, delves into the series backstory.
