Author Diana Gabaldon has written a book series wherein "Outlander" was based upon. It is a story of a nurse who travels back in time and gets stuck between two lives. Caitriona Balfe portrayed the character of Claire Randall and Jaime Fraiser is played by Sam Heughan. The story featured steamy love scenes of both main casts and it may heighten up the heat between them in the upcoming episodes.

"Outlander" is recently on a mid-season break in which the mid season's last episode has brought to an end with a major twist in which Jamie Fraser (Heughan) comes under the rage of Captain Black Jack Randall as he takes charge to save Claire Randall (Balfe). It was also featured on the first half of season one the wedding of Claire and Jamie with its intense steamy hot love scenes that ended when Claire was left to choose between her two lives.

The spoilers of "Outlander" for its second half of season 1 implied that as an act of penance for being a witch, Geillis Duncan could be burned and it also suggested that Jamie could be tortured behind bars of Wentworth prison under the wrath of Black Jack Randall. Executive producer Ron Moore has revealed some interesting details about the upcoming episodes and he also stated in his latest interview to Entertainment Weekly that there are some psychologically challenging scenes in store and the sex scenes would not be turned into soft porn with the viewer's anticipation in regard to the series is high.
