Boasting a female-led cast that includes Angelita Nelson (Courageous), Erin Bethea (Fireproof), Vanessa Ore (My Name is Paul) and American hero, Jessica Lynch, this film weaves together stories of powerful women from the battlefields of Afghanistan, to an American news studio, to a home for troubled girls, and the pulpit of a church, all while revealing the truth of God's transformative love and grace.
Virtuous" is inspiring and compelling! It ties several stories together by the movie's conclusion and the themes include standing strong when wrongfully accused, forgiveness, and making a fresh start. The cast includes Erik Estrada, excellently playing attorney Jack Evans; Brandy Allison as Simone Burner, a woman falsely accused of shooting and killing Patrick Walters (Ben Davies); as well as Kera O'Bryon as Kayleigh Evans, a gold-hearted woman who encourages Simone and goes to a judge on her behalf to get her out of jail for Christmas. Don Brooks also does a great job playing prosecuting attorney Jeremy Daniels, and Erin Bethea from "Fireproof" plays Diane Landers, a woman who graduates from the Potter's House, a place for women with troubled pasts.
The plot revolves around Patrick Walters following Simone to her apartment against her wishes and his attempt to rape her. She shoots him and then is accused of murder. The movie weaves various stories together including attorney Evans' grief over his deceased daughter, an elderly female judge who is emotionally and verbally abused by her husband, and a female soldier named Tara who is captured and tortured in Afghanistan, and the after-effects on her pastor father, mother and sister.
The story ends by powerfully showing that perseverance and faith pay off.
