Brandon Davis Honors Fathers with a Moving Rendition of "That's My Job"
In honor of all fathers and just in time for Father's Day, country artist Brandon Davis shares his modern spin on Conway Twitty's touching fatherhood tribute "That's My Job." The song is out today (6.16) via Big Yellow Dog Music.
"This song has always reminded me of my own father and has brought me to tears more times than I can count," says Davis. "I'm excited to share my cover of this iconic song with my own kids singing harmony on it, passing down the tradition of creating music together as I once did with my own dad."
"That's My Job" holds a special place in Davis' life and his career. His father, who was a musician himself that once opened for Garth Brooks and inspired Davis' own love for music, used to sing the song to him as a child. Now, as he sings the track from the father's perspective, listeners can hear the devotion he has to his family in his passionate vocal delivery.
Davis has amassed a massive fanbase of over 3 million followers across platforms through impromptu singing challenges, heartfelt lyricism and powerful vocals. He was hand-selected last year by Tim McGraw to open for the McGraw 2022 Tour, and he will tour across the South, East and Midwest throughout the year.
