‘The Block’: Bomb at Auction
'The Block': Bomb at Auction
The season finale of "The Block" sparked massive controversy when some teams on the show walked away with no prize money, which left many people wondering whether future contestants will experience the same fate.
According to The Hot Hits, Frank Valentic, "The Block" guru and Advantage Property Consulting's director, revealed the reasons why he believed that the auctions bombed like the main road location of the Glasshouse and big difference in reserves for each property and many viewers agree.
All eyes are waiting for the next seasons of "The Block" for which the properties have been bought by Channel Nine. The first is located at 27 Darling Street in South Yarra, which is a small block and a suburb North of Glasshouse situated in Prahran. The property was purchased for 2.4M and features twelve apartments in total, which spread across the three floors.
Darling Street, as described, is a quiet and great residential area that is a far-cry from the bustle and hustle of Glasshouse high street address. It also seems that the building will be split into four areas. All of these have bottom and top floors. This just means that every apartment of the contestant is the same with the next.
Even if it seems the Darling Street will serve as the home to the regular season of "The Block" this coming 2015, which looks like an all-star version is also planned for the second half of next year's season.
The building which comes with an octagon shape was sold to Nine for $7.35M, which is the most costly endeavor in "The Block" series.
Hotel Saville has a total of 51 rooms, which were spread over eight levels. This looks like a same situation to the season of "The Block" in 2013. The only issue over Hotel Saville is that like Glasshouse, the property is accessible and situated on a main road.
Daily Mail UK reported that with fans who are excited with the coming season, "The Block" fans should not miss the sneak peek for the auction day as the contestants will appear with fresh and fashionable outfits.
