Integrity Music's Sarah Kroger is kickiing off the Christmas with her unique rendition of the song "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." The song is a sentimental one for the Nashville-based worship singer-songwriter who adorns it with her smooth vocals and a funky musical arrangement.
Kroger holds a distinct memory of this favourite as she sang it with her high school friends in her family music room the Christmas before they graduated. "When we sang the line --- Through the years we all will be together, if the Lord allows--- I remember thinking 'stop and be present; it will never be like this moment again'," she says.
"`Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas' invites us to think and pause. To bear in mind that each moment invites us to be present in it. With each other and with Jesus. It reminds us of what Christmas is all about: the gift of our Lord and of fellowship with one another, walking each day at the pace of Christ."
Growing up in Melbourne, Florida, Kroger developed a love for music as a child when she began singing in church choirs while following in the steps of her parents who were both music ministers. With a passion to create a safe, prayerful space through her music in which people can encounter the love of God, for the past nine years she leads worship at events around the world, using her talents to draw people together from a variety of cultures and church backgrounds under the banner of Jesus.
Prior to her Integrity Music debut of Bloom in 2019 followed by 2020's Light, Kroger has released two other albums, Your Time (2011) and Hallelujah Is Our Song (2013), which features "Run To The Cross" and "In The Silence."
