Chris Tomlin is inviting believers to look up once again.
The Grammy-winning worship leader has officially announced the return of his special outdoor concert experience, "Worship Under The Stars," set for three consecutive nights in September 2026. After a successful debut last year, the unique gathering will revisit the West Coast with stops in Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Diego.
Tomlin shared the news directly with fans on social media:
"Worship Under The Stars Returns in 2026! Three cities. Three incredible destinations... I can't wait to worship with all of you."

A Worship Experience Framed by Creation
Unlike a traditional arena tour, Worship Under The Stars is intentionally designed as an open-air gathering - where worship and creation intersect. As the sun sets and the night sky emerges, the setting becomes part of the experience.
Tomlin explained the heart behind the concept:
"One of the things I love about worship is it causes us to lift our eyes off of ourselves... to remember the goodness of God, the greatness of God, and the power of God. Especially when we're in His creation and you see the beauty around you."
The vision is simple but powerful: remove the ceiling, remove the walls, and allow worship to rise under the vastness of the sky. In a cultural moment where distraction is constant, Tomlin's outdoor format offers space to pause, reflect, and sing familiar anthems surrounded by God's handiwork.
Building on a Strong 2025 Debut
The inaugural Worship Under The Stars in 2025 featured memorable nights in Central Park (New York City), Pier Six (Baltimore), and a sold-out event at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. Those evenings blended full worship sets with moments of prayer and production elements that complemented the natural surroundings rather than overshadowed them.
The 2026 edition follows that same intentional design - three carefully selected venues known for their scenic atmosphere and acoustics.
With only three dates announced, the limited nature of the tour makes it a rare opportunity for fans in the region.
A Legacy of Songs Sung Around the World
For decades, Chris Tomlin's music has become the soundtrack of congregational worship globally. TIME once described him as the "most often sung artist in the world." With 21 No. 1 singles, 30 Top 10 hits, more than 8 billion global streams, and 12 million albums sold, Tomlin remains one of the most influential voices in modern worship.
Yet events like Worship Under The Stars reflect something deeper than chart success. They emphasize community - thousands of voices joining together in songs like "How Great Is Our God," "Good Good Father," and "Holy Forever."
In a season when many are searching for hope and unity, gathering beneath open skies to declare faith together carries a unique spiritual resonance.
A Timely Invitation
As Tomlin prepares for fall 2026, the invitation is clear: come as you are, lift your eyes, and worship.
For those in Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Diego, this September may offer more than a concert - it may become a sacred memory etched against the backdrop of the night sky.
