In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), Miles stated that claims Kirk was formally preparing to enter the Roman Catholic Church are "factually incorrect."
According to Miles, Kirk was not enrolled in the OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) process, nor was he taking formal steps toward conversion. Miles indicated he had spoken directly with Kirk's wife and others close to the family to clarify the matter.
