Award-winning worship leader Casey J has released her long-awaited new project, The Stories We Sing Vol. 1, marking her first album in six years. The five-track collection, released through Casey J LLC and Tyscot Records, is now available on all major digital streaming platforms.

Produced by Grammy® Award-winning producer Aaron Lindsey, the project showcases a vibrant blend of guitar-driven worship, Christian pop, and arena-style praise music. Lindsey is widely known for his work with artists such as Marvin Sapp and Israel Houghton, and his production gives the project a polished yet passionate worship sound.

The album title reflects the inspiration behind the project. Casey J explains that the songs draw from biblical narratives and the way God's work unfolds through ordinary people.

"A great deal of what I found out about God, I learned through stories," she shared. "Maybe I grasped them as a kid, but they really started to resonate with me as I got older. When we look at the stories of Scripture, we discover God's nature-and it encourages us to live lives that reflect Him."

Unlike many of her earlier releases, The Stories We Sing Vol. 1 was recorded as a studio project rather than a live recording. Casey J says the studio setting gave her more creative freedom to shape the music.

"This is my first studio project, which is unique for me," the Atlanta-based singer explained. "It gave me an opportunity to be freer creatively. There's often pressure with live recordings to serve the moment, but here I could really consider what I wanted to capture."

The project also represents Casey J's most extensive songwriting effort to date, with the singer contributing to every track on the album.

Musically, the five-song set offers a dynamic worship experience. Songs such as "Rest in Me," "One Day," and the Billboard Gospel Airplay Top 15 single "Song of My Life" feature soaring, atmospheric arrangements, while "Come Take a Seat" and "Return" shift into reflective moments of worship that invite listeners into a deeper spiritual encounter.

Over the past decade, Casey J has established herself as one of the most distinctive voices in modern gospel and worship music. Her signature sound blends Americana influences, soulful gospel vocals, and Pentecostal worship energy.

The former elementary school teacher first rose to national prominence with the massive worship hit "Fill Me Up," which spent 14 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart and remained on the chart for 51 weeks. She later scored another No. 1 hit with "I'm Yours," while her sophomore album The Gathering produced the Top 10 single "If God / Nothing But the Blood."

Collectively, Casey J's music has amassed more than 180 million digital streams, cementing her influence in the worship music landscape.

As she looks toward the future, the singer says her ultimate goal is simple-continue saying yes to God's calling.

"I hope I find myself in the middle of a Godly yes," she said. "My highest pursuit is just saying yes to God as quickly and as often as I can."

With The Stories We Sing Vol. 1, Casey J opens a new chapter in her musical journey-one that celebrates the power of faith, storytelling, and worship.
