Dove Award-nominated worship leader Michael Bethany has released his highly anticipated live album Sanctuary, now available on streaming platforms worldwide through Capitol CMG's Re:Think Music.
Released on March 6, the 19-track project was recorded live at Freedom Church in Dallas (Carrollton), Texas, capturing a powerful atmosphere of extended worship and prayer. The album features several notable guest artists, including Maverick City Music's Maryanne George and Alton Eugene, Elevation Worship vocalist Isaiah Templeton, and The Choir Room's Dwan Hill.
Produced by Bethany alongside Ryan Rich (Martin Smith, Elyssa Smith) and Kevin Turner (Marvin Sapp, Tauren Wells), Sanctuary invites listeners into a deeper experience of worship centered on the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Bethany says the project was intentionally crafted to help believers see worship not simply as a moment during a church service, but as a lifestyle rooted in God's presence.
"This album is a collection of corporate worship songs that help people to see themselves as a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit," Bethany explains. "I want people to experience the power of God's presence in their own personal life."
One of the newly highlighted songs from the album is "Gold," an energetic prayer asking God to purify the heart and bring spiritual renewal. Bethany describes the song as a cry for revival, expressing a desire for believers to be refined by the presence of the Holy Spirit until their faith shines like pure gold.
The album also includes songs such as "Be Magnified," which was inspired by Bethany's reading of the biblical book of Habakkuk and reflects on trusting God even in seasons of uncertainty. Another standout moment is "Secret Place," an intimate worship track featuring a spontaneous moment with Isaiah Templeton during the live recording.
Spanning nearly 100 minutes of music, the project intentionally allows space for extended worship moments that encourage listeners to linger in prayer and reflect on their relationship with God.
Alongside the album release, Bethany also hosted the Overflow Experience Conference (OXP) at Freedom Church in Dallas. The gathering brought together worship leaders and creatives for a time of worship, leadership development, and spiritual renewal aimed at strengthening creative ministries within the church.
Beyond music, Bethany's ministry through Overflow Culture Global supports humanitarian initiatives around the world, including efforts to provide clean water in Sri Lanka and educational development projects in West Africa.
Bethany's previous project, Overflow, earned two 2024 GMA Dove Award nominations, including Best Gospel Worship Album and Best Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year for "Fill the Room."
Sanctuary is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, and other major streaming platforms worldwide.
