Award-winning composer, producer, and songwriter Tommee Profitt has released a powerful new rendition of the beloved hymn "Nothing But the Blood," featuring vocalist Jeremy Rosado, offering listeners a dramatic preview of his upcoming Easter project The Resurrection of a King.

Released on March 6, the track presents a cinematic reimagining of the classic hymn, combining sweeping orchestration, choir arrangements, and Rosado's commanding vocals. The result transforms the traditional worship song into an emotional and epic listening experience.

Interestingly, the song nearly didn't make the album.

"This song almost didn't make the album, which is crazy to say now," Profitt shared. "It was the week before the album was due, and I suddenly realized I hadn't done 'Nothing But the Blood,' one of the most well-known Easter hymns of all time. If I were making an Easter record, how could that song not be on it?"

After the late-night realization, inspiration quickly followed. Profitt said the musical vision came together almost instantly, from the melody and orchestral build to the dramatic choir moments that shape the final arrangement.

Finding the right vocalist was just as clear. Jeremy Rosado, known for his appearances on American Idol and The Voice, stood out as the ideal voice to carry the emotional weight of the hymn.

With the album deadline approaching, the team moved quickly. Profitt assembled an emergency choir session, and the entire track-including Rosado's vocals, the choir, and the production-was completed in just three days.

"Jeremy gave such an incredible, timeless vocal performance," Profitt said. "It's powerful, emotional, and exactly as epic as the song and the message demand."

The song is featured on Profitt's upcoming album The Resurrection of a King, set for release on March 27. The cinematic Easter project will feature reimagined versions of several beloved hymns, including "The Old Rugged Cross," "Jesus Paid It All," "Amazing Grace," and "Just As I Am."

The album also brings together an impressive lineup of guest artists, including Phil Wickham, CeCe Winans, Crowder, Jenn Johnson, Jamie MacDonald, Ben Fuller, and Jon Reddick.

Profitt's previous project, The Birth of a King, became a major success in the Christian music world, generating more than 200 million global streams and evolving into an annual live Christmas concert event.

Over the past decade, Profitt has become one of the most influential producers and composers working in both mainstream and Christian music. His work has amassed more than 100 billion global streams and views and has been featured in over 300 film trailers, television promos, and video games.

He has also collaborated with artists across multiple genres, including NF, Avril Lavigne, Josh Groban, and Migos. Profitt co-wrote and produced NF's massive hit "Let You Down," which achieved eight-times platinum certification and topped Top 40 radio charts.

With The Resurrection of a King, Profitt once again brings his cinematic style to timeless Christian hymns, offering a fresh interpretation that blends modern production with enduring messages of faith.

Fans can listen to "Nothing But the Blood" featuring Jeremy Rosado now and pre-save the upcoming album ahead of its March 27 release.
