Philippa Hanna has officially released the title track from her upcoming project Citizen, offering listeners the first glimpse into a collaborative, faith-driven body of work shaped by community and creativity rather than artificial intelligence.

In a recent post, Hanna shared insight into the writing and production process behind the project, emphasizing a return to relational, Spirit-led creativity. "This is what making music looks like without AI - just friends who hear you, elevate you and add their incredible God-given gifts and talents to the little seed God gives you," she wrote.
The project brings together a wide-ranging group of collaborators, including renowned worship leader and producer Israel Houghton, whom Hanna credited with helping shape the musical direction. "I'm beyond grateful for the incredible ears and eyes of Israel Houghton to take ideas and make them great... to see the end from the beginning," she said, describing him as "a true genius."
Additional contributors include artists such as Moses Bliss, alongside a global network of musicians, writers, and creatives spanning the UK, Europe, and Africa. Recording sessions for the project took place in part at RAK Studios, with further contributions from an extended creative team helping bring the vision to life.
Hanna emphasized that Citizen represents more than a collection of songs, describing it as an expression of shared faith and purpose. "Music is about so much more than just songs. It's about community, shared vision, shared love of God," she shared.
The project is being developed in partnership with Integrity Music Europe and Integrity Music, positioning it as a notable upcoming release within the worship music landscape.
