"I wrote 'Leaning On Jesus' at the end of myself, for a time I'd never been more desperate for heaven's intervention, for a child in search of her Father's shelter and strength," Evelyn Cormier shares. "'Leaning On Jesus' is an anthem of God's power, His mercy, and His unwavering love. When our feet can't go another step, when we can't carry on in our own strength, this song is the reminder that we can lean on Jesus."
Co-written with Colby Wedgeworth and Paul Duncan, "Leaning On Jesus" continues to introduce listeners to Cormier's autobiographical lyricism and peace-inducing folk-pop. The New Hampshire native's debut radio single follows the recent DSP release "Like Me Better," which amassed more than 1.5 million streams in just eight weeks. That synth-laced track featured the newcomer's airy vocal and a message of freedom from unhealthy relationships.
