Country Music Hall of Famer Ray Stevens is recovering at home after suffering a broken neck in a fall at his Tennessee residence late last month. The 87-year-old singer-songwriter was injured on March 30 and hospitalized in Nashville, where doctors diagnosed the serious injury.
According to his publicist, Stevens has since been released from the hospital and is now recuperating at home. While he is required to wear a neck brace for several weeks, he is reportedly "fully mobile and in good spirits," offering reassurance to fans concerned about the beloved entertainer's condition.
Stevens, widely known for hits such as "The Streak," "Everything Is Beautiful," and "Misty," has enjoyed a decades-long career blending humor, storytelling, and musical versatility. His contributions to the genre were formally recognized with his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019.
