We The Kingdom are stepping into a new chapter with the announcement of their upcoming album Everything I Thought Was Pleasure, set to release June 12, alongside the debut of its first single, "God's Way," arriving this Friday.
The band describes the forthcoming project as their "most honest record yet," a deeply reflective collection of songs that wrestle with surrender, temptation, joy, and the tension between fleeting satisfaction and lasting fulfillment. Rooted in the lived experience of faith, the album captures the ongoing journey of the Christian life-one marked by growth, struggle, and transformation.
"What if everything you thought would satisfy... didn't?" the band posed in announcing the project. "This album reflects the journey of the life of a Christian-we aren't yet where we are going, but we are far from where we've come."
Everything I Thought Was Pleasure explores the realization that even good things-success, relationships, or personal pursuits-cannot ultimately bear the weight of the human longing for meaning. Instead, the record points listeners toward a deeper truth: that enduring, unshakable life is found in Christ alone.
Serving as the project's introduction, "God's Way" sets the tone for the album's message, inviting listeners into a posture of surrender and trust. The song arrives this Friday as the first glimpse into what promises to be one of the band's most vulnerable and spiritually resonant releases to date.
Known for their genre-blending sound and heartfelt worship anthems, We The Kingdom continue to carve out a distinctive space in contemporary Christian music-pairing raw honesty with hope-filled declarations of faith.
Everything I Thought Was Pleasure releases June 12.
