Legendary gospel quartet The Truthettes-a pioneering all-female group known for their powerful harmonies, traditional quartet roots, and decades-long impact on gospel music-have returned with brand-new music for the first time in over 25 years. This past Friday, the iconic ensemble released their latest single, "The Great Physician."
Widely regarded as one of the most influential female quartets in gospel music history, The Truthettes helped shape the sound of traditional gospel quartet music, blending soulful vocals with a deeply rooted ministry message. Their influence extends beyond the church, with their recordings being sampled by mainstream artists such as 2 Chainz, Rylo Rodriguez, and DJ Khaled.
The release follows a major milestone, as the group celebrated 50 years in ministry in 2025-further solidifying their legacy as trailblazers in gospel music.
Original members Tiffanie 'TuTu' Agee and Tamara 'Tammy' Moore have been part of the group since childhood, joining at just six and seven years old. Their lifelong commitment has been central to preserving the group's signature sound and mission.
The current lineup also features Amy Hutchinson and Temoni Agee-Boyce, who continues the family legacy as TuTu's daughter, representing a new generation carrying the torch forward.
"The Great Physician" delivers the classic Truthettes sound that longtime fans have come to love, while offering a fresh reminder of the healing power of faith. With their long-awaited return, The Truthettes prove that timeless gospel ministry and authentic harmonies never go out of style.
"The Great Physician" is now available on all major streaming platforms.
