Today, Saturday April 25, is the final day of America Reads the Bible - the most extraordinary public display of Scripture in modern American history. And if you haven't been watching, there is still time.

Since April 18, something unprecedented has been unfolding at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. - and it ends tonight at 9 PM ET.

What Happened This Week

Over 475 national leaders, 115 ministries, 84 hours, and 7 full days - from 9 AM to 9 PM daily - the entire Bible has been read aloud, from Genesis to Revelation, in what is believed to be the largest public Bible reading in American history.

The reader list reads like a who's who of American faith and public life - six governors, 20 members of Congress including Senators Ted Cruz, Joni Ernst and James Lankford, Governors Greg Abbott, Ron DeSantis and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, evangelist Franklin Graham, and Hollywood names including Candace Cameron Bure, Dean Cain, Dallas Jenkins, Jen Lilley, and Kevin Sorbo.

Then there was the moment that stopped the country.

When the President Read 2 Chronicles 7:14

President Donald Trump participated by reading aloud from the Oval Office - choosing 2 Chronicles 7:14, the passage in which God promises to "heal the land" of those who humble themselves and pray.

Trump issued a presidential message calling the event a celebration of "250 years of the Bible in America" and described Scripture as "the sacred source of our unity and national strength," urging citizens to rediscover the Biblical truths that have shaped the Republic.

Whether you agree with the politics or not, watching a sitting president read that passage - that specific passage - from the most powerful office in the world is a moment worth acknowledging.

What Candace Cameron Bure Said That Matters

National spokesperson Candace Cameron Bure captured the heart of the event better than any press release could.

"Never has this been done - to read the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, in such a public platform, to join all Americans together," she told Fox News. "From entertainers to government officials, to pastors, to moms and dads, to educators, nurses - it's American people reminding ourselves of who God is in our life."

On Gen Z, she was equally direct: "More young people are realizing that God gives us peace overall when we follow His ways. They are having encounters with God, and it is so exciting to see."

How to Watch Today - Right Now

The event is free to stream live at americareadsthebible.com and through the Great American Pure Flix app - no subscription required. Today is the final day. Reading runs until 9 PM ET tonight.

Can't make it to D.C.? The event encourages churches, small groups, and families to host watch parties from wherever they are.

As Nehemiah 8:3 records - Ezra read from the Book of the Law from morning until midday, and all the people listened attentively. That spirit is alive in Washington today. Don't miss the last few hours of it.
