With a powerful testimony forged through addiction, redemption, and radical transformation, Allan Scott is entering a bold new chapter. The acclaimed singer, songwriter, and worship leader has officially signed with Dream Records and released his deeply personal new multi-single, Just One More (Songs from the Motion Picture), serving as the official soundtrack companion to the upcoming Just One More. Featuring the emotionally raw tracks "I Need A Sign" and "Not Alone," the project confronts the realities of opioid addiction while pointing listeners toward faith, healing, and restoration through Jesus Christ.

Directed by Kaleb and Kyler Cook, Just One More tells the story of Jess, a young woman trapped in addiction, and Charles, a terminally ill man whose simple sign - "Stop, and let's pray about it" - becomes the catalyst for an unexpected journey of grace and redemption. For Scott, the film's message hits close to home. Having overcome addiction himself, he now spends his life ministering to hurting people through music and The Story Tour, a nationwide outreach focused on recovery, hope, and spiritual renewal. In this conversation, Allan opens up about his powerful testimony, the heart behind "I Need A Sign," and why he believes stories like Just One More have the power to change lives.

Q: You've been open about your past struggles with addiction and how encountering God in a jail cell completely changed your life. How has that personal testimony shaped both your music and your ministry today?

Man, it's shaped everything. God completely changed my life-and my wife's too. I've been sober for 25 years, and she's been sober for 26. Early on, parts of my story felt shameful, but as I started sharing my testimony in rehabs and prisons, I saw God turning the bad into something good. He took my addiction and turned it into my ministry. That's what He does!

Every song I write today is influenced by that message: Jesus is able. Our live "The Story Tour" events are centered on reaching hurting, addicted people. Over the past few years, we've traveled more than 45,000 miles and visited around 120 cities, sharing stories of the freedom God brings into people's lives.

Q: "I Need A Sign" carries a deeply raw and emotional message. Can you share the story behind writing the song and why it became such an important fit for the film Just One More?

I've known Kaleb, one of the filmmakers, for about 10 years. He first heard my story when we met at a park in Pennsylvania. Last year, he called and pitched the film, asking if I'd write a song for it. I was immediately in, because the movie connects so deeply with our ministry.

The main character, Jess, is battling opiate addiction, and I related so much to her struggle. "I Need A Sign" was written last May in Nashville with Nathan Horst and Carter Frodge. I tried to tap into the desperation I felt before Jesus changed my life, and we wanted the song to speak honestly to people in that same place.

Q: The upcoming Just One More confronts the opioid epidemic through themes of faith, redemption, and restoration. What impact are you hoping the movie and soundtrack will have on people battling addiction or supporting loved ones through recovery?

What I love about the film is that it's an honest look at addiction through the eyes of Jesus. Victory rarely comes instantly-there's a real struggle-but Jesus is able. That raw honesty is what I hope connects with people.

I've seen the film twice: once at the premiere in Franklin, Tennessee, and once with a group of former addicts. Watching them connect so deeply with the story moved me to tears. It's real, relatable, and ultimately points to the freedom we can have in Jesus.

Q: Through The Story Tour, you've traveled thousands of miles sharing testimonies of freedom, healing, and restored lives. What are some of the most unforgettable moments you've witnessed during these events?

At our very first Story Tour event, a man named Kevin came after we invited him from a local drug house. That night, he gave his life to Jesus and entered rehab. More than four years later, he's still sober. Since then, we've heard hundreds of stories like that-and it never gets old.

I also remember a woman named Linda in Indiana who came to an event planning to end her life afterward. But Jesus met her there. She went home, threw away the pills she had saved, and began following Him. Today, she leads a ministry serving addicts in homeless encampments in her town.

Q: With your new partnership with Dream Records and the release of Just One More (Songs from the Motion Picture), what can fans expect from you musically in the months ahead?

Lots of new music! Since signing in 2024, the past two years have been filled with writing and creating behind the scenes. Lance and Dream Records opened doors for me to collaborate with incredibly talented writers who helped me express things in fresh ways and from new perspectives. I'm excited to see how these songs connect with people who are where I once was-looking for a sign.
