The 52nd American Music Awards air tonight, Monday May 25, at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on CBS and Paramount+ from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Queen Latifah hosts. What makes tonight different from every other awards show? Every single winner is decided by fan vote - no industry jury, no committee. Pure audience power.

The record on the line: Taylor Swift enters tonight with 40 all-time AMA wins - already the most in history, surpassing Michael Jackson (24) and Whitney Houston (21). She leads tonight's nominees with eight nominations including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for The Life of a Showgirl. One win tonight and the record extends further into territory no one else may ever reach.

The comeback story: BTS is nominated for Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer for "SWIM," and Best Male K-Pop Artist - their first award show appearance in four years. They made their U.S. television debut at this exact show in 2017 performing "DNA," becoming the first Korean group to perform on the AMAs stage. They won Artist of the Year in 2021 - the first group since One Direction to claim that title. ARMY has been voting around the clock.

The category to watch - Artist of the Year: Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Morgan Wallen, Lady Gaga, BTS, Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar. Ten nominees. One winner. Entirely up to fans. Based on streaming numbers and social engagement, industry trackers currently lean toward Taylor Swift or BTS - but at the AMAs, fan mobilization has always beaten the odds.

The honors: Billy Idol receives the Lifetime Achievement Award and performs for the first time at the AMAs in 22 years. Karol G - who headlined Coachella 2026 - receives the International Artist Award of Excellence, only the eighth artist ever honored, joining Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, and Whitney Houston.

For JubileeCast readers - the faith moment to watch: Blessing Offor, a two-time Grammy-nominated and two-time Dove Award-winning singer-songwriter, performs tonight. His voice carries a testimony that belongs on every stage it reaches - including this one. Don't miss it.

How to watch: CBS - free with antenna or cable. Paramount+ for streaming. Live at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT tonight. You can still vote at VoteAMAs.com until the show begins.
