Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt has a new children's book out - and the heart behind it is as much about faith as it is about patriotism.
America, I'm So Glad You Were Born, published by Zonderkidz, released June 2 - timed for America's 250th birthday. The picture book walks children and families through the history, values, and freedoms that define the United States, from democracy and equality to freedom of speech and religion.
Earhardt told ChurchLeaders that her Christian faith and love for America were the central inspirations behind the project. The book builds on her earlier bestselling title I'm So Glad You Were Born, reimagined to mark the nation's milestone anniversary.
But behind the patriotism is something more personal. Earhardt opened up about raising her 10-year-old daughter Hayden in New York City - and what she prays for most. "Please pray that she knows the Lord," she said. "Please pray protection over her life because I'm raising her in New York City and I love her so much."
For a broadcaster who reaches millions of homes every morning, that kind of quiet, public faith is its own statement.
America, I'm So Glad You Were Born is available now wherever books are sold.
